I have been in education for over 21 years, most recently serving as Assistant Principal at Canyon Creek Elementary in the Northshore School District. I enjoy building strong relationships with staff, students, families and community members. My goal as principal of Crystal Springs is to guide and support each and every student and staff member to reach their highest potential in a safe and nurturing environment. I believe in the academic, social and emotional needs of all students. I believe in providing a learning environment that embraces diversity, equity and inclusion where students have a strong sense of belonging.
On a personal level, I was born and raised in Shoreline, WA, and am the youngest of 5 children. I have 8 beautiful nieces and nephews ranging in age from 17 - 40, 2 great-nieces and 1 great-nephew ages 5, 3 and 7 months. I truly enjoy supporting all of them and watching them grow as they find their way in this world. Much like the students I serve, they inspire me each day and help me to be a better person. They are truly my biggest joy outside of the school house.
Looking forward to being a Roadrunner and having a fantastic school year together.
As a graduate of Inglemoor High School and current Northshore parent I come to you with 20 years of experience in education. I bring with me a wide range of experiences within the educational system including leading high school and middle school music programs that had comprehensive competitive performing groups, 9 years of elementary music and intervention work with struggling mathematicians at the elementary level.
These past 5 years I have been working as an assistant principal and enjoying the work I get to do with students, families and staff every day. Over the years my core beliefs have been my what drives me to come to work every day. We are here for students...providing them with what they need to be successful each and every day. Focusing on high expectations while providing students with the skills they need to achieve anything they put their mind to by collaborating between staff, students and families to help provide equitable and effective learning environments both academically and socially for students to thrive.
One a personal note, My husband and I have three amazing boys, who amaze me each and every day with their kindness, creativity and who also keep me on my toes when I am not at school. Each of my boys show me their individuality, their strengths and their struggles. It is such a joy to be part of this critical time in their lives where they are learning and growing every day, just like it is such a joy to be part of all your child's school experiences. We also have two fun and energetic German Shepards that can't wait each day to welcome us home.
I am very passionate about my work with children and staff, and I am lucky to be joining the Road Runner team and community. I look forward to meeting all of you as we start this new school year.
