Dear Crystal Springs Families,
I want to officially welcome all of you to the 2019-2020 school year! For those of you who are new to our school, I want you to know that you are coming to an absolutely wonderful place. I am excited for another amazing year at Crystal Springs. My goal as Principal of Crystal Springs is to guide and support our staff and students to reach their highest potential and to make Every Moment Matter, in a safe and nurturing environment.
We are so excited to have a new Assistant Principal join our team- Joey Kolattukudy. He is excited to serve the community of Crystal Springs. He joins the Crystal Springs family from South Kitsap School district where he was an elementary and middle school assistant principal as well as an interim principal. He looks forward to forging lasting relationships with students, staff, and families of Crystal Springs Elementary. Please feel free to reach out to him with questions, concerns, and just generally to say hello.
Our teachers and staff at Crystal Springs are caring, innovative, and always learning something new for the benefit of your children. We look forward to creating a wonderful partnership in ensuring a productive and fun educational experience for your child(ren). We believe that building strong relationships between home and school is a key factor in increasing student achievement.
As principal, my door is always open and I welcome your input. Beginning the first day of school, students should bring a note if they will be parent pick-up or will not be riding the bus. Otherwise, students will be placed on the bus.
Drop off and pick up will continue to be the NORTH parking lot only. Buses and daycare vans will continue to use the main parking lot. For those new to Crystal Springs, please see the video on the school website for more information about drop off and pick-up procedures. As a reminder, if you choose to drive your child(ren) to or from school, please note our parking lot drop off procedures:
- Drop off begins after 9:20 am
- Only use the far NORTH parking lot for student drop off- students may not be dropped off in the bus zone or by the south portable as this is our bus and childcare drop area
- Pull forward as far as possible along the drop off curb
- Park in designated spots only, space is limited in our drop off area and to keep traffic moving there is not parking here.
- Bus riders- the school must have a note if your child is not riding the bus- otherwise they will be placed on their bus.
